Gravelle Laurentides is an initiative by SOPAIR and its partners to promote gravelle cycling in the Laurentians.
Our mission
The Gravelle Laurentides project aims to position the Laurentian region as a prime destination for gravel cycling in Quebec and North America. Our mission is to create, promote and maintain a network of exceptional trails that showcase the natural beauty of our territory.
We believe that the gravelle cycling category is more than a sport: it’s a gateway to the discovery of our landscapes, our villages, our local culture and our gastronomy. Every pedal stroke is an opportunity to connect with nature and support the regional economy.
The SOPAIR Project
SOPAIR (Société de plein air et d’initiatives régionales) is the organization behind this initiative. Since its creation, SOPAIR’s mandate has been to develop and promote outdoor activities in the Laurentians, with an emphasis on sustainability, accessibility and respect for the environment.
The Gravelle Laurentides network is part of this vision, offering routes that minimize environmental impact while maximizing the cycling experience. We work closely with local municipalities, landowners and tourism stakeholders to ensure the long-term future of these routes.
